Oracle Video @ Edge (OVE) is a MoQ cloud primitive built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, aimed at high-volume live workloads. You provision it rather than install it, which is what puts it here rather than in the directory alongside self-hosted relays.
Key capabilities
- Regional failover and autoscaling across global OCI regions
- Proximity-aware relay placement
- High-throughput telemetry and observability
- Accepts traditional feeds — HLS over CMAF, SRT — and converts at the edge for backwards compatibility
- Federation testing and cross-infrastructure relay behaviour
- Production-grade connection lifecycle management
Ecosystem position
Oracle anchored the multi-vendor interoperability demonstration at NAB 2026, where an OVE-powered MoQ transport layer connected a pipeline assembled from separate vendors: ingest, encoding, and packaging via Ateme; packaging via Broadpeak; delivery through Cloudflare and Broadpeak CDNs; and playback in Bitmovin’s Player Web X. The point of the demo was that the pieces plugged together without bespoke integration at each seam, which is the interoperability argument MoQ has to win to matter.
Oracle is also a participant in the OpenMOQ consortium.
